The centerpiece of the 2026 celebration takes place on Saturday, October 17, when thousands gather for the Sandusky Witches Walk® main event. The Witchy Village at Jackson Street Pier opens at 11 AM with food, drink and Halloween/Witchy craft vendors serving throughout the afternoon. At 4 PM, the community parade steps off at Columbus Avenue and Washington Row, moving through downtown Sandusky before arriving at Jackson Street Pier for the evening’s main programming. The Opening Ceremony features Michelle Bertschl-Herold, an original founder of the Witches Walk, in a symbolic performance marking fifteen years of magic, followed by the Witches’ Dance led by the Sisters — the 2024 costume contest winners.
The entertainment lineup includes a Broadway-style musical starring Sandusky native Tim Murray currently on Broadway tour worldwide, a live appearance by psychic-medium and “Good Witch of Hollywood” Patti Negri known from Ghost Adventures and MasterChef, and a 90-minute Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac tribute concert closing out the night on the Lake Erie waterfront. VIP ticket holders receive front-of-stage access, priority entry to the Witchy Village, and free admission to the Firelands Paracon running simultaneously — along with exclusive access to $5,000 in cash raffles split across two drawings and costume contest awards of $500 for Best Witch, $500 for Most Creative Costume, and $500 for Best Pair, with winners determined by online voting from the organization’s 38,000+ social media followers and prizes presented at the October 31 Award Ceremony.
