RCA Records Collaborates with Iris Chengdu to Boost Chinese Hip-Hop
In a significant move to enhance the landscape of Chinese hip-hop, RCA Records Greater China, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, has announced a collaboration with the independent label and music collective Iris Chengdu. Founded by Chengdu producer Andre Grant, known by his stage name Harakiri, this partnership is set to launch a series of albums that will spotlight emerging talent from the region.

The partnership plans to debut five albums over the next year, featuring a diverse roster of artists from Iris Chengdu. Among these celebrated talents are:

Vinida Weng, in particular, is making waves as a female rapper who is recognized for her innovative contributions to the Chinese hip-hop scene. She has already achieved international recognition with the release of her album, alongside live performances in her hometown, Fuzhou.
