The film stars John Rhys-Davies, renowned for his roles as Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Sallah in the Indiana Jones series. Plot Synopsis

The storyline centers around six friends who venture into a secluded cave system to investigate the mysterious disappearance of several individuals. As they delve deeper, they discover they are being hunted by a creature that has possibly resided in the depths for centuries.

Background and Connection to the Legend

The tale begins with a fireball crashing into a remote forest, awakening a horrific creature hidden underground. Set in 1976, the narrative follows James Wheeler, who enters a cave in search of the truth but is never found. All that remains is a fragment of Super 8 film showcasing a creature’s silhouette.

In the modern day, Wheeler’s granddaughter, alongside five other explorers, seeks to uncover the legend of the Bone Keeper. However, as their journey unfolds, they realize the lines between predator and prey are increasingly blurred. The question remains: will they reveal the truth and survive, or will they join the ranks of the missing?

Ford expressed his passion for the project, stating: “I’ve always been intrigued with caves and caverns and imagined if something lurked down there in the depths, so I am very excited to be making a creature-feature and reuniting with the REinvent team and not least working with the legendary Mr. John Rhys-Davies, who has been an absolute blast.”
