Hollywood Brown Rejoins Kansas City Chiefs on New Contract
Wide receiver Hollywood Brown is set to return to the Kansas City Chiefs after signing a one-year deal that could be worth up to $11 million, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Career Overview
At 27 years old, Brown originally joined the Chiefs as a free agent in 2024. However, his potential was hindered by injury complications. He suffered a sternoclavicular injury during the preseason while making a catch, which limited his contributions throughout the season.
Following surgery to address the injury, Brown managed to return for part of the regular season, playing in just two games where he recorded nine receptions for 91 yards. He also participated in all three postseason matches, contributing five catches for an additional 50 yards.
Injury Challenges and Performance
Notably, injuries have plagued Brown’s career, preventing him from playing a full season since 2021. During that year with the Baltimore Ravens, he had a standout performance, achieving career highs with 91 catches and 1,008 receiving yards.
Brown, selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by Baltimore, spent three seasons there before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals. In his two seasons in Arizona, he recorded 67 receptions for 709 yards in 2022.
