FKA Twigs Postpones U.S. Shows Due to Visa Complications
FKA Twigs has announced the postponement of her upcoming performances in Chicago, Toronto, and Queens, NY, as part of her ongoing Eusexua tour. This decision comes after production issues hindered the timely completion of necessary visa paperwork.
Details of the Postponement
In a video shared on TikTok, Twigs explained the challenges faced in the production process, noting that these difficulties have been “challenging” and led to her decision to cancel the three shows. She stated, “Behind the scenes practically, it has been challenging with production and just the more practical sides of putting this tour together.”
Emotional Impact
The artist expressed her heartbreak over the cancellations, stating, “I don’t take this lightly. I’m completely devastated, to be honest with you. I’m completely heartbroken.” She emphasized her desire to perform for her fans, particularly highlighting her long absence from the U.S. stage since 2019. “This is just such a huge blow,” she noted, assuring her audience that her team is working to rectify the situation.
Rescheduling Shows
The shows were originally set to occur on:
- Chicago: March 26-27
- Toronto: March 30-31
- Queens, NY: May 3-4
Twigs has committed to rescheduling these performances, stating that further details will be available soon.
Previous Tour Challenges
The Eusexua tour has experienced difficulties from the outset, as Twigs previously had to cancel the initial shows in Prague and Berlin due to shipping issues. Despite these setbacks, the tour is set to continue with a scheduled performance in Mexico City on April 6, followed by appearances at both weekends of Coachella starting April 11.
