The highly anticipated conclusion to the beloved superhero anime, My Hero Academia, is on the horizon. At the recent AnimeJapan 2025 expo held in Tokyo, Toho Co., Ltd. unveiled a teaser trailer and striking key art for the series’ eighth and concluding season.

Set in a world where around 80% of the population possesses extraordinary abilities known as Quirks, My Hero Academia follows the journey of Izuku Midoriya and his peers at U.A. High School. These aspiring heroes train rigorously to defend society from villains who misuse their powers.
Details of the Final Season
Titled My Hero Academia Final Season, this concluding chapter is set to premiere globally in October, with Crunchyroll acquiring streaming rights outside of Asia. The platform plans to maintain its simulcast format, ensuring that episodes will be available to international audiences on the same day they air in Japan.
Creative Team Behind the Series
Naomi Nakayama, who directed the previous season in 2024, will helm this final installment. The adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s acclaimed manga concluded its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump last August, paving the way for this climactic season.
