Background on Antonio Brown
Antonio Brown, 36, enjoyed a successful career in the NFL, primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018, where he established himself as one of the league’s leading receivers. He led the NFL in receiving yards twice, but his professional trajectory was marred by a series of off-field issues, culminating in his contract being voided by the Oakland Raiders in 2019.
Brown spent his final three seasons with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ultimately exiting the league in dramatic fashion by removing his jersey during a game against the New York Jets in January 2022. He announced his retirement shortly after.
